Rules for the Foschini/Nokia Fashion Design Awards 2010.
1 - This competition commences on 22 April 2010 and ends on 29 May 2010.
2 - This competition is open to all fashion design students of recognised tertiary education institutions in South Africa.
3 - Entrants should be a minimum of 18 years and no older than 25.
4 - Entries must consist of reality fashion items that are in keeping with the Foschini brand.
5 - Each design must have been created solely by the entrant and be an original design. Use of copyrighted drawings, designs, patterns or symbols is prohibited. The design should not be subject to any legal restrictions OR claims or infringe the intellectual property of any third party. Infringing or copied designs will be disqualified even if they have been selected as one of the winning entries. The Foschini Group will not be liable for any claims or damages resulting from any such infringements.
6 - All entrants indemnify the Foschini Group, the judges and any company associated with this competition, their directors, agents or employees against any direct or indirect loss or damage arising from Entrants’ or winners’ participation in this promotional competition or for any loss or damage howsoever arising.
7 - Late, incomplete, incorrect or illegible entries will be disqualified.
8 - By submitting a design, each entrant thereby cedes and transfers any and all intellectual property rights of every nature whatsoever.
9 - Entrants shall not receive any compensation or credit for the aforesaid cession, transfer, use or otherwise of the aforesaid designs.
10 - Foschini reserves the right to re-produce any drawings or garments entered into the competition.
11 - All entrants must be prepared to be interviewed and photographed on behalf of the FAD Awards, with or without their garments.
12 - Foschini cannot be held liable for any injury experienced by any entrants when entering the competition or taking up any of the prizes.
13 - The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Only winning entries will be contacted.
14 - By entering the competition, the entrant agrees to abide by the above rules and conditions.
